How to Reset Your Microsoft 365 Password

1. Go to the Password Reset Page

• Open your browser and visit: https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com.

2. Enter Your Microsoft 365 Account Details

• Type in your Microsoft 365 email address (e.g., yourname@sunstoneway.org).

• Enter the characters displayed on screen (to verify you're not a bot).

• Click Next.

3. Choose a Verification Method

• Select one of your security options (phone, email, or authentication app).

• Enter the verification code you receive.

4. Set a New Password

• Type a new password that meets Microsoft’s requirements:

  • At least 8 characters

  • Includes uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and/or symbols

• Confirm your new password and click Finish.

5. Sign In with Your New Password

• Return to https://office.com or your Microsoft 365 apps.

• Sign in using your new password.

• If you don’t have access to your security methods, contact your IT administrator for a manual reset.

• Consider turning on Microsoft Authenticator for easier future logins.
